I had my nails painted for practically the first time at age 25. When I realized that there were all kinds of interesting techniques and tools available for creating unique patterns, I started exploring gel nail art and was immediately hooked.
If you’re not accustomed to fancy nails, it can seem baffling why a person would bother - but it’s an amazing feeling to enjoy tiny artwork that you created every time you look at your hands, which I do constantly between engineering prototyping and my creative hobbies. Most of these nail sets take me about 4 hours to do, but will last 3-5 weeks.
Beauty Station
It’s important to have a comfortable and well-lit space for nail art if you’re going to spend hours at a time working on it. I often will prop up an iPad against the mirror and watch a show or movie while I work.
